New Google Analytics

New Google Analytics Released

Google Analytics users have something new to toy with. Just a couple of weeks ago Google released an updated and improved version of Google Analytics. The new product is packed with features to get you the reports you need in a faster and easier way. Aside from improved performance, the new Analytics also features a simpler user interface.

Feature-Packed New Google Analytics

What can users look forward to in terms of improved functionality? The new Analytics allows users to create up to 20 dashboards per user, with each dashboard containing up to 12 widgets. Users are also in control of the type of interaction they want with Analytics depending on certain metrics they want to see over time. There is also an easy way to toggle between multiple sites while focusing on one report, thus giving the users a better and deeper analysis of site traffic.

Report formats and sharing capability are also being improved. The new Analytics features the capability to export files to PDF, or send reports to email.

There will be no issues migrating reports from the old Analytics to the new Analytics. The new Analytics also features linking new AdWords and Adsense accounts to Analytics, email scheduling and InPage Analytics.

Note For First Time Users: What Value Does The New Google Analytics Give You?

If you are using Analytics for the first time, you might wonder what the value of Analytics to you is. There are tons of customizable reports which you can get from the Analytics but what we say is most valuable to you is how it tracks the traffic to your site.

Analytics can show you the location where most of your traffic is coming from. This will then prompt your focus on specific campaigns you are having. The new Analytics can even track the number of downloads you have for specific video campaigns. It will also indicate the quality of the traffic your site is receiving. You can see which pages on your site have high bounce rates – and you would like the bounce rate to be low – meaning you want your visitors to stay in your site until they get to the shopping cart and actually make a purchase. You can zero in on weak points of your site and do some correction where it is needed.

We set up Google Analytics for our clients as a standard. It assures us that the choice of keywords we are ranking for are not just keywords generated by guesswork. These are keywords that match quality traffic. Ultimately, the result of good traffic and high ranking is better ROI for our clients.
